Ya, only a twelve year old would find that even somewhat funny...its about as funny as shooting your dog because it got ran over..
or purposely running over squirrels because they run into the road, some people are just bent..

Saw a good bumper sticker on this issue:

People who abuse animals
rarely stop there.

Bad taste? Yes. Real? No.

It's from a commercial for the Nokia 3650 mobile phone that aired in the UK. If that one bothers you, wait till you see how Ford sells the SportKa over there. Yes, these ads were shown on regular broadcast television.

While I do not endorse censorship, ads such as these send a message that abuse of certain animals is 'okay'. It is likely that millions of teenagers and children have viewed those clips, and I imagine that more than a few will try to emulate it. Sad.

actually that video was part of some ad. no cats were harmed. I cannot remember what the advertisement was for.

There was also a controversial tv spot for Sporti Ka in europe with a sun ruff closing on a cat. representing a devil car. The ad was pu;led quickly off the air and was replaced by the same car swatting a pigeon with it's bonnet as it was landing on the car. Once again, no animals were harmed in filming the ad.
