David,
Sorry about your loss, I've been there, done that when my 74 02 was rear ended. It's time to make lemonade out of lemons in regards to your car. What ever you, make sure you buy the tii back for salvage value from the insurance company. If they total your car for $6K, you buy it back for salvage value and let's say salvage value is $500, they will give you a check for $5500 and you get to keep the car and they will deliver it to anywhere you want. Thier are too many good parts on that tii for that car to be in a pik-a-part yard. You may have to take a sawzall on the rest of the car but their is no doubt it is totalled. I've haven't looked at Craigslist lately since my last for sale post on 2 Nov but their was several tii's listed that should help you with ballpark pricing. Did anyone on this list look at the 72 tii in Fresno that was for sale? Also check out Coupe King's (Peter Sliskovich) shop in LA, he usually has several 02's for sale to include some tii's. I highly recommend his, he helped me bring my 74 tii back to life along with my 73 Bavaria and his shop did an awesome repaint on my 70 E3 2800. His website is

Also contact Rob at 2002Haus in SLO. He usually has a shell.
Good luck and let me know if you need me to look at any cars down this way for you.
