Oh its true...

http://www.s14.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15126

the BMW grey poupon police are reportedly out to lynch him now.

There are a bunch of LS1 / e36 projects locally but I have never seen an LS1/e30 one before.

Looks nice and clean. Not a huge fan of LS1 swaps into special cars (like the E30 M3 or 3rd Gen RX-7), but the fact remains that it's a heck of a powerplant, so I can see the rationale whenever one gets done.

Hey cool. I rowed too and used to have a Kaschper 1x that looked just like his. I rowed for OARS in high school, then Florida Tech (FIT) and Central Florida (UCF) in college. I've since sold my boat and erg due to lifestyle changes. Now I'm a BMW nut that doesn't live near the water anymore. I always pipe up when I hear someone is a rower/coxwain because we are a rare breed.

Personally I like what these guys did much better,

they at least stuck with a M motor....

much cooler result IMHO...

VERY NICE,

That e30 kicks ass! However that NACA duct is backwards.

it *LOOKS* like the put the duct in that way just because of the way that huge filter is located. evidently a duct runs under the hood to above the filter. to make it really truly trick he should build an airbox around it so that *ONLY* cool outside air enters the engine. supposed "cold air" intake toobs/filters that ACTUALLY draw hot radiator air are a pet peeve of mine....
