I usually give up after about five minutes of using it.

I hope this is a temporary problem.

I find it faster today than it was yesterday, even though I was on a cable internet system at home and now I'm using dial-up.

Par of it could've been problems at my IP, but it's definitely faster.

Subject: I liked the old forum cause it was like my car, fast and

nimble without a lot of bells and whistles. It gets me where I want to go....fast. The new forum is like a boat, slow and awkward, takes forever to get anywhere(I have dsl) and is SO much slower than the old board. It makes me sick sitting here waiting for a new screen to load(yawn). I really hope changes are coming to take care of the problem or lots of good people won't bother with this board anymore and that would not be a good thing.

We are experiencing some problems with database connections. I have contacted our host to try to resolve the problem.

Subject: everybody should just hang loose for a while until things

stabilize, and we can all get used to this change. 99% of the reason why we went with a php site is to make it easier for us to change the content in the FAQs. And to make it all perfeshunall, the board needed to "look" like the rest of the site. I agree somewhat with the simplicity of the old site. Thats in fact one thing that I personally tried to emphasize with the very simple yahoo-style index and etc. The old board was definitely simple and that was a definite plus. But this style has its advantages ***INCLUDING*** far better image handling, siglines, etc. i guess to many of us, thats all just "NOISE", but all I ask is that we all give it some time.... Ive played with other php boards including Jenna's and its just takes some getting used to. Other features include stuff like statistics gathering (how many times a given thread or post has been viewed, etc), private messaging (although this is turned off right now), etc. and dont forget the spellcheck for you grammar warriors out there!! =p
