I'm definitely checking it less than ever (which might be a good thing really)...With all the pictures, add-ons and personalized bells and whistles people are putting on their posts (including myself) it's takes forever and a day to load more often than not. (I'm stuck in a rural area with only 26k dial up available.) The new format reminds me of that SNL sketch where Tim Meadows is the news anchor for MSNBC and is slowly covered over by news tickers and pop-ups until he's finally hunched in the corner of the screen and all you can see are his eyes...

...I know it's more powerful and better for the admin side and that's what really matters, but I tinker with cars not computers and learning 'new tricks' isn't something I have time or interest in, especially at dial up speeds. I see myself only checking the site when I need info now, which kinda takes the community feel out of it a bit. Maybe it's time to buy a CS and head over to e9coupe.com where the board is still pure and simple...like the cars we love. Kidding of course, but this new site feels "Bangled" a bit...

that kind of sucks! we are on the rents' DSL line while we are here in cali but when we get back to alabama its going to be DIALUP HELL. I guess disabling images in the browser would help... lessee... havent tried that one in a while..

page loads a hell of a lot faster now, even though all those images are in the cache by now. the way i did it was in the "Advanced" tab under tools, options. just a thought.
