Subject: someone asked about roll cages...........

While checking the progress on my car, I snapped these cool pics of a cae they were doing for a customer. Note intresting box construction. Even on the front hoop suports.....nice cage....

Not sure if you can answer this but, hat is the purpose of building the box section on the passenger side in this picture?......http://bmw1602.lostbrazilian.com/v1/viewer.php?albid=23&stage=3&imgid=335 I see how it all ties in with the framerail, but it has me scratching my head. Was it to achieve a higher contact point to allow for some different incoming angle? I'm not trying to be critical, just to understand the logic behind it. Regardless, all of those pics are great! Now I just need to determine what type of cage the Nebenstraßebrenner will get....

I really have no idea! maybe they cut the floor out and to drop the cage and weld allround the top tubes. Someone once told me that was an old technique. That or they used to cut the roof off....the most logic anwer would be like you said to reduce the angle of the diagonal bar...

butt I'm stumped!
