Subject: I was snooping around the VW tent at Carlisle this year....

....and came apon a guy selling rolls of cloth braided fuel hose and the blue brake hose with "made in Germany" on them! Snagged up a few feet. Also had the plastic clear fuel filters for our cars. I spent more time at the old VW stands than at the BMW spreads! I'm finding more that 'used' BMW parts are now the 10-20 year old Bimmers, too new for my needs!

Subject: You sure you want braided steel???

They will abrade through most any other line they touch or rub against, they'll also go right through any aluminum bit they rub against.. If you're looking for durability, BMW sells a line with a Kevlar sheath, it's a bitch on your knife to cut it, but is _very_ durable.

Subject: BMW bike shops and VW shops have cloth braided

fuel lines. The blue colored brake line is a little harder to get. W&N in Germany has it. Wish I would have spied the guy at Clarlisle...
