Subject: Attack of the fast, rough idle

When I cranked up the '76 to pack up after the swap meet Saturday, the engine idled very roughly and faster than normal. It seemed to smooth out at road speed. At home in the garage I checked all the vacuum hoses and fittings, since a vac leak will cause a fast, rough idle. After a *lot* of looking, I found that the vac hose to the top of the number 4 intake runner fell apart there. I snipped off the crud, pushed the hose back on, and all was well in the World.
