Ha, the ABS saw the different front to rear wheel speeds, threw the light on and it thus non opp till he shuts the car down and restarts again. :)

Maybe I miss something here but what exactly is so fascinating about drifting for the sake of drifting?
As far as doing it on public roads, if someone intentionally did it near me like this butthead did merging into traffic on freeway, I would <gently> let them know about it.
To paraphrase an old saying, 'Your ability to drive like an idiot decreases as the proximity to the general public increases..."
Because he happens to be driving a BMW makes no difference to me...
