I have posted some pictures on the blog:

I drove it from Mission Viejo to my home and back again. Here are some details:
1. The car runs warm (3/4 scale and holds there). I would replace the cooling system.
2. The rear output shaft bearing on the transmission is noisy. The synchros are good and I do know it has a new clutch. I have not put it up in the air yet. But, I would plan on a new flex disk and center support. The rear axle boots look good.
3. The sunroof does not open with the crank. I was able to slide it open easily and it is clear the cables are limiting the travel. But it will not pull it open or closed.
4. Some additional observations:
- all lights work (it has Hella H4 headlights...)
- the wiper switch should be replaced.
- I removed the radio. I assume it works fine. I just didn't want to leave it loose in the car and have it tempt someone to break in.
- The heater fan works great. The heater slides are smooth and work great.
- All of the window regulators work great and are smooth.
- The speedometer - including odometer - works great. The mileage looks original and everything on the car supports the fact it is 68,353 original miles. The gas gauge doesn't bounce.
- The brakes work well. However, I would be cautious with them.
- There is a slight vibration at 60 MPH. I didn't push the car much more than this since I don't know what shape the flex disc and center support are in.
- I put new tires on it 1 week ago... (there is a story there -- but, I will wait for another time).
- The seats are original. The vinyl is surprisingly good. The horsehair pads are falling apart. The original carpeting has a few wear points.
- The window outside rubber (to keep water out of the doors) are falling apart.
- The paint is worthless. The car needs to be prepared and painted. Note the sticker says the car should be Baikal. But, the car's paint is mostly original (hood and fenders have evidence of a repair and paint) -- it's a mystery. I would love to contact BMW Mobile Tradition and have them tell me what the original color is.
- The chrome is great.
- the bumpers are great except for the missing overrider on the rear bumper.
I could keep on going. Email me with questions or reply here and I will keep adding.
