Yes it did.
Made it almost to Toledo (270 miles) to meet Blunt, Dave, Tim and Vince to caravan to Watkins Glen. The car puked, just died. I couldn’t figure it out so I had to call my Sister and Brother in law in Pontiac, MI. (85 miles away). They brought me a truck and trailer and got me to their home. I messed with it and couldn’t figure it out so I trailered it to my home in Pentwater. (226 miles) Arrived home at 6:00 am burnt out and seeing trails. More than a day totally shot and no sleep. Dug into it at 7:30 and found the Kugelfischer belt had snapped and was gone. (Thanks Blunt & friends via telephone). I had a quick road fix kit but not an extra belt ( I never thought of that).

I called and ordered three of them bastards next day air. So here I sit whacking it waiting for tomorrow to come. I should be with the boys at the Glen.
Blunt if your reading this I checked into flying out and renting a car but its not going to happen. I will get those next day air at noon tomorrow and cut across Michigan to Canada taking my chances with the border boys. I just hope they don’t tear my car apart like they always do. I’ll pop out around Niagara and hit the Glen. It is 10hrs 15 min going that way. I still have my B&B for the remaining five days. I hope I don’t miss much out there.

Like I said, a pretty shitty day. Yes it was. I'm bummed I’m tired.
Goodnight.

heard from joel early this morning. he got the tii running but his suburu parked in front of the garage had the tranny interlock switch go out not allowing the tii to be removed from the garage. i think its a sign it just wasnt meant to be. maybe you avoided something bad. we missed you joel and wished you could have joined us but theres always next year and V@V. i know youre not afraid to drive that thing and thats a good thing
