My '02 project car is just about finished, just a few more details to complete the build, e.g. headlight rings, grills, brakets & driving lights, throttle pedal, driver's side carpet, etc. I picked it up yesterday (drove it on and off the trailer only) from VSR and took it to my stereo guy for a system install... then back to VSR in about a week for the finishing touches!!! Can't wait to get her out of the road!!
Th equality of work that Mario and his guys at VSR have done is outstanding... the car looks awesome and will be rather unique.
Here's some pics I took yesterday at the stereo shop:

Great looking project. I really like the way the flares smooth into the rocker and the rear bumper notch. Nice touchs.

Sweet!!! Bet you cannot wait to drive it.
In this pic, it looks to me like the there is a reasonable distance between the radiator and engine. Is it the engine set back at all or is it in 'stock' location?
Also does it have an air filter in front of the snorkle?

Great interior work. What is the carpet material? German velour?

The S14 install is very nice. It looks like the engine was set back a bit. I could notice that the coolant tube on the passenger side was shortened as evidenced by the bead of weld.
In my own build with modified S14 oil pan, I will try to move the engine back by 1/2" and see how clearances are.

I believe its stock BMW carpet from a distributor (I know I selected it from a catalog of carpets for BMWs)... it's not velour.

Over the top on that one, the seats look fantastic, who did those ones for you? Rob S, Kevin Chin or?
Will it be completed in time for Vintage Fest at LRP or better yet are you attending this year with a car?

Thanks... the seats were done by an upholsterer up in NH.
I plan to bring the car to O'Fest at the Glen in September... but probably not the Vintage event at LRP the end of this month, although I plan to go most likely with my M5?

Hey Roy!
We'd love to see you come out at 02 Fest @ Lime Rock Park. I will have my S-14 car there as well as my 135. Please give it some consideration if your car is up and running then. If not please stop by and introduce yourself.
I am the 02 Fest Chairman.

Paul,
I'll be sure to stop by on Saturday at LRP. Won't be bringing the '02 however, still a little work left to do.
