I just changed my spark plugs 2 weeks ago along with the ign. wires and a pertronix ignitor. it was running rough for about a week until i got the timing some what set just by sound. i checked the plugs and they are DIRTY. Black and oily. Whats with all the oil?

Not sure which plugs you used but may want to go with a hotter plug. Then again, a compression check may be in order. _________________ 74 Tii

Lots of different thoughts on that. Hit the search button and you'll have lots of reading to do. Manual says .024-.028 but a lot can happen when mods have been made to the system. Many have gone with a much wider gap of .035-.040. Looks like it's trial and error to find what's best for your particular situation. _________________ 74 Tii
