to talk to the Iranians. Appeasement is in the air; how can McCain flip flop on this one.

I can't wait to see the spin the neocons put on this.

.I think this move is to reaffirm the United States current policy and position. There will be no negotiations here. This is a tactical move and far from apeasment

See that's what I mean. Spin, Spin and Spin. What are they going there for to look at the desert country side? Of course they are going to talk; that has already been stated. My questions is what is the difference in when Obama said that and now, other than Obama was appeasing them.

Bush does not need to reaffirm his position, his position has been very clear. His family has been in two businesses for the last century not counting politics. Those businesses are Banking and Oil any coincidence both are screwed along with us.

I feel bad for the guy that makes so little that he has to choose between food and fuel, the guy that wanted to have a beer with our king!

My biggest issue with Obama is that his artwork is already going for a premium on eBay. I really wanted the one of him posing over McCain, ala Ali over Liston.

Otherwise, time for a change. Obama is my Homeboy.

When in England , at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush.

He answered by saying, 'Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.'

You could have heard a pin drop.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a conference in France where a number of international engineers were taking part, including French and American. During a break, one of the French engineers came back into the room saying 'Have you heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intended to do, bomb them?'
A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: 'Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck. We have eleven such ships; how many does France have?'
You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals from the U.S. , English , Canadian, Australian and French Navies. At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of Officers that included personnel from most of those countries.

Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans learn only English.' He then asked, 'Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?'

Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied 'Maybe it's because the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't have to speak German.'

You could have heard a pin drop.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE...
Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on.
'You have been to France before, monsieur?' the customs officer asked sarcastically.
Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously.
Then you should know enough to have your passport ready.'
The American said, ''The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it.
'Impossible. Americans always have to show your passports on arrival in France !'
The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly explained, ''Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country, I couldn't find a single Frenchmen to show a passport to.'
You could have heard a pin drop.
I gotta get a pair of those.The neocons probably think you get two left feet instead of a right and a left; well at least that's the spin they will use.
Then they will call us mutants and try and lock us up like Xmen.
Maybe if he knew how to talk he would instead of this ' action ' that we are in in the middle east.
Maybe we could use a little more talk and a little less action.
That's reverse Elvis for those not familar!
" Bring it on" - George ( I'm a damn Texas Ranger) Walker Bush.
Wasn't Bring it on the name of some silly cheerleader movie? Well just goes to show you. What can I say the man quotes cheerleaders from teen movies, what a great speaker and statesmen.
I love it when the Obamasiah talks, he starting to make Gore look smart.
yeah, obama has never seemed all that hot to me. the alternative would have been so motivating to the other side, that the lesser of two evils turns out to be the lesser of a lot of things. i still want him to win, but not too excited about it. maybe im just in a malaise...
What have our actions got us so far; lets see, oh yeah $4.50 a gallon fuel
Which has resulted in anything fuel related to go up in price and just about everything is oil related if only in transportation costs.
Imagine if you only made 25k or 40k with a family and had to chose between food and fuel. I assume most of us do pretty well here based on our not too inexpensive hobby. These are the folks I feel for, but some folks don't feel for the smaller guy because it's always his fault.
The occupation was supposed to get us cheaper fuel....fooled again, by guess who.
Obama was the editor of the Harvard Law review and is a Professor of Constitutional Law. I would hardly put him in the dumb category.
You give me silly quotes, misquotes and I give you facts and ask you why. Funny thing is I never get an answer, just nonsense and rhetoric.
I've posted it before, but I never even get a sniff from you libtards.
This isn't a recent thing that has gone bad, the libs started this house of cards way back with the New Deal, is all I keep seeing is a continued ass raping from the events set off in that era. The gov can't fix it and it keeps getting worse. If you think by giving the gov more of your money ( more social engineering ) it's going to get better, you are fucking nuts. The dems have controlled congress for how long and haven't done shit, they aren't going to either.
I'm not saying McLame is a good choice at all ( more of the same that we have now ) but it a far sight better than what we will get with the gov you want to vote in, it's not "change" it's more of the same shit that has brought us for the last 80 years to where we are now.
Please go look at the programs that Obamasiah wants to have put in place and funded and see if you can figure out where that money is going to come from ( I'll give ya a hint AGAIN, our pockets ) If you think big biz is going to pay more taxes ( that won't get passed along to the consumer ) you have failed and have no clue to understand how the world really works.
There is no shortage of supply it's the speculators. They could be stopped but ' W ' won't do that.
When Clinton left office we had a surplus, so please don't tell me about going back to the new deal era. Always claiming it's someone else fault. Nobody but the current admistration put us here and you can't handle the truth that your boy screwed you and screwed you good.
It is so ironic that in his last year of his last term how oil prices have soared.
Question; if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there does it ake a noise?
first of all, what makes you think the oil cos have any incentive to lower prices? Short of worldwide economic collapse, high prices suit them just fine. Second of all, demand demand demand!! ;-p
