I have no information on this character other than what you previously posted. Apparently, his most recent offer to you is as good as his previous promises. He obviously has no idea what slander means but that is also keeping with some of his other comments. What ever his current situation, it seems like it was of his own making.

Has he been in the board biz for 30 years? Is he even close to that age? If not, how would he know how bad biz was back then? More smoke.

Write it off.
He's trying to appease you.

Subject: Writing him off is rewarding his behavior

Besides the $950 I am still missing, writing him will only encourage him to keep doing the same thing to others, even people on this board. I know he doesn't post under "Culpy" anymore but I would not be surprised if he has signed on under another name. Living life by ripping peole off should not be tolerated or written off, at least not on the board.
I won't get appeased until this obligation is settled. He also owes Albone his spoiler.

I understand your feelings and the need to get squared but, You are dealing with a person that has no morals or standards. He says you slandered his name, that was not slander but now he thinks you are going to run him down (which you should, it has been long enough) and he has no need to deliver.
He only answers when he thinks he has something to offer as a re-payment or not. (appeasement).

What I mean't by write it off was: I got ripped and felt the same way for two years. I looked for the Bas#$rd everywhere I went. Then I had to realize it and write it off. You will not forget this incident and I will not (it has been 14 years) but, you have to live life and see the good in people and not think all are like that. (my incident was that I fired a guy and he cleaned my house out. What he didn't take he left busted up in a pile in the middle of each room in the house).

If this character was truly desperate to rid himself of these cars and parts, one would expect he'd use the classified of this forum, ebay, etc. Is he advertising those things anywhere?

Your desire to impart a lesson has been noble, but a fellow like this probably has a few others wishing to educate him as well. Maybe he can make friends in a neighborhood that is less friendly or understanding than this one.

Where do I apply for a grant or interest free loan? ;)
