As far as I have ever seen there was never a specific Tii replacement cylinder head, even as a new part. This is based on 25 years of experience. The differences between the carburated and injected heads are:
A. For the carburated motor there are the holes drilled and tapped to secure the spacer block and mechanical fuel pump.
B. The early Tii needed two of the three holes (the tapped ones) to hold the #1 stub manifold for the injector. These studs were longer as shown in the picture of the factory rebuild.
The later Tii's (mid-72 and beyond) had a one piece stub manifold and thus did not use any of the holes. This would account for the fact that with an original head there were no holes drilled/tapped.
C. All heads used the same camshaft, the same rockers, the same rocker shafts, etc.
The pictures show a brand new head that the holes were welded up and machined for a super sweet '73 Tii. They also show the longer studs needed for an early Tii that will be removed and the factory block-off plate used as this motor is going into another sweet '74 Tii.
Jim G - I got your email and will respond.
