Subject: Megasquirt/EDIS People: Ignition table for optimum mileage?

I imported Tim Skwiot's table and it works really well. I'm curious now about any changes that might help with optimizing fuel mileage. Obviously, the EFI will help, but my goal for now is good mileage. Can anyone offer suggestions as far as timing is concerned?

I have read that advance up to 50 something degrees at low throttle settings helps. I think the idea is as much advance without detonation at high mp.

I second John's comment. You can take all the partial load cells above 2000rpm to at least 40 with the truly off-load cells at 45+. This is particularly true if you still have the original lower compression engine in the car. Remember Tim's map is for 9.5:1 compression, if you have less you need more advance all over and can particularly push the off-load cells. (Although I might even take the on load cells to 38-39 since this matches the original distributor values, and works well for me).

Remember you will have to retune as well since timing and fuel are interrelated. (And more advance will let you lean out the partial-load cells even more)
