Wondering if anyone knows of a source of a good quality, good fitting, carpet set in the Black/White speckled pattern. I see that most places have black, grey, charcoal, but not the salt n peps.

This place has what looks to be the correct material, and there is a 14 piece kit available, as well as molded ('74-'76??) but it states it's for the "1975-1979" 2002, and there are no pictures so I don't know if it will fit.

http://www.auto-interior.com/bmw8081crpt.htm#2002

Anyone have experience with this company?

Cheers

yes, i've bought at least 6 sets from them...they're fast, reliable and have exactly what you're looking for...their 75-79 listing is a mistake...call them tell them what you want and you'll have it within a week or so

please don't post on this thread unless you can help me - your post is very vague, if you have a problem with the esty guy that posted something actually quite worthwhile, email him personally. i need to find a good quality salt and pepper carpet kit and don't need any drama or smartass remarks, dude.

You know, part of the necessity of "drama and smartass remarks" is the building of community here. A community, that "ye-of-two-posts" are decidedly not yet a part of.

There's a long history here that I suppose, you are unaware of and Andy's comment referred to that.

But to push this thread in a positive direction......the unnamed Canuck in question....his name is Al.

Al@SeamsPerfect.ca

http://www.seamsperfect.ca

I'm pretty sure, he sells a salt/pepper set in both wool as nylon loop.

You'll receive a plethora of opinions about him. You could use the search function to gather data and oh yeah, picked up a source for your salt/pepper question in the process.

Nope,
I screwed it down front and back and to a few glued down blocks to keep it from flexing too much.
Sound's like a good idea though.

I also cut strips of black vinal and glued them down where the pieces meet. I'm not sure how needed that is since the fit is perfect.

FAQers are generally helpful and down-to-earth. We only get feisty in carpet threads. You'll fit in fine.

Just don't challenge Esty in arm wrestling or drinking...he'll kick yer butt for sure.

Howdy-

Bimmer Parts Co. does a salt/pepper if I'm not mistaken, but I don't know what the quality is like.

When I looked a few months ago, NOBODY made a true Salt & Pepper carpet similar to the original. They are more grey than black with white and only nylon not wool.
