Yup this is my friend old 1941/44 army truck that we resurected.
we uncloged the rad and installed a 12v alternator (2002) and fired it up, we ran all day long with it in the forest today.
This truck is unbelieveable. Everything on it works. It is so beefy and shuby at the same time, we cannot stop laughing while we drive it.
The engine is a GM L6 with "babette"bearings and a manual starter (you have to push a lever to engage the gear and then it energize the motor, lol).
The gas pedal is in the middle, ie, clutch to the left, brake to the right...gas in midle.
Right hand drive too, manufactured in ontario iirc. There was both GM and Ford variant of this truck, exactly the same.
In fact, this one has a 1944 GM frame and a 1941 Ford cab...go figure.
The diff is like 20 inches big.
There is a PTO, manualy engageable from the cab.
I have several video that i think i will put on youtube. too nice.
We will probably restore it and make it a real drive machine, for now, its just too funy just to look at it and say "hey, it works man..."
