Well, today I removed the air pump system, replaced thermal reactor exhaust manifold and plumbing, removed EGR valve and plumbing, and some other stuff. Now, car runs better (and the front end is lighter), but what is the market for the leftovers - does someone in CA need them and at what price? I suppose I'll go to eBay with them.

I don't think you will find a buyer.

Wow, C.D. that's great insight to the temp switch under the intake T2. I'd love to know those kind of details about the T1 and the EGR relay....

I've never seen the "control valve" before..... Wait, that must be the vacuum transducer! Now I've got it, the little three way vacuum valve on the firewall that red, white, and blue all go to! Doh!

See, I've never seen a "virgin" working EGR system before and had no idea how the relay actually works the magnetic valves and the EGR valve. I usually use a vacuum gauge inline to the EGR valve and adjust the "control valve" until I get EGR around 1700 RPM and then reset it after said car passes the smog test. :b...

. . . . good for you Tom - glad the diagram helped -

BUT EGR IS STILL K.R.A.P. !

Fastest way known to carbon-up yer motor,
add weight, reduce power, reduce MPG,
and add stink and heat.

Be Happy ! , I guess?
