There was. Started by a Chris in Syndey. I went looking for it and it is no longer there. There was not a lot of interest.

Hey Tom,

Trying to find out if the vin numbers for Australian tii's differ from the US one's? Ive got a 75 2002 with a tii engine. Im trying to find out what year its from. The problem is that on my rego papers the engine no. is 3310237, and this number does not match the US vin's for tii's. Does your tii start with a 276 or 278 like the US one's?

BMResto the US VIN's will not match, they are for LHD cars.
As our cars are RHD they have different set of VIN's. See attached VIN decoder and the symbol (oo) at the end of a model means RHD - (o) means LHD.
