Subject: Done with my rear strut bar

I just finished moving the battery to the trunk and putting in my rear strut bar. When I got it all hooked up I tried starting the car. The starter just clicks repeatedly. It is probably something really simple and I just overlooked it, but what is going on?

Thanks again guys,

Tyrel

The paint is gone behind that large washer, the strut bar is bare there, and I cleaned off the paint from the strut tower itself.

Thanks,

Tyrel

Also, do I still have to have a ground from the motor?

Yes!
Otherwise your throttle linkage is the only connection.

Ohhhh yeah....glowing red hot throttle linkage can make life VERY exciting and dramatic!

I have a ground cable from an E30 or somesuch from a 17mm bellhousing bolt, near starter to firewall. Leave plenty of room for engine movement in the cable, too!

HTH!

Those oval holes in your back parcel shelf will come in handy to run a jumper cable from the battery's negative terminal to the engine block to see if that helps and answers the need for better grounding.
