What I want to know is, how is it you are so familar with the Castro you recognize it from this photo with such certainty?

Yeah, I knew thats not the Castro or San Francisco at all. I can't place quite where it is.... but a friend posted it on another forum with that description, and it completes the joke to say its in SF, thus hinting at the real nature of the 'drag race.'
Yes, I walked down Castro street.... and i'm so obviously straight or less than fashionable that no guy even gives me a second look. :( or :) ?

that is funny, but 35 years ago, that wouldn't have been a big deal, just entertaining in Panama. I grew up in a very accepting and tolerant society where most people were not judged by their sexual preference, and were free to pursuit their happiness. Gay and leebians occupied high ranking posiitions in goverment and private industry, and actually were viewed as more talented and capable than the rest of the population. Of course there always jokes from the "straight", but they were always well respected in the community..

I really thought that the rest of the world was like that, especially coming from a third world Catholic country, I was very naive....

The patch on the law enforcement uniform may be a clue.

;-)

Cheers,

I couldn't make it out. Either my eyes are bad or my laptop screen isn't good enough. Could it be Los Angeles?
