Last I heard, "bill's" not running in this election.
Bringing this up as if it's some sort of valid counterpoint (re: health of a candiate) doesn't reveal any more political insight than the constant mention Barack Obama's middle name.
Let's do the math:
If McCain is elected, he'll be a crusty 76 years old at the end of his first term...at the end of his second term, should he be that ambitious, he'll be a curmudgeonly octegenarian (80).

It's an Arabic name. Obama is a Christian.
Obama has tried to set the record straight from an attack circulating widely on the Internet that is designed to play into prejudices against Muslims and fears of terrorism.
I'm uncertain as to whether you are genuinely misinformed, or merely a bigot who spends too much time listening to talk radio and reading internet Neocon vitriol.

JFK was 43 at the time he took the oath of office. If elected, Obama will be 47.

thank you for making my point
JFK's meeting with Kruschov is widely regarded as a disaster, which led to the soviets planting nukes in cuba, and the resulting crisis.
your man obama thinks these type of meetings are a good thing _________________ gwb72tii

What point is that?
RE: The Cuban Missile Crisis. "Widely regarded as a disaster" by whom? Do you know history? Would nuclear war have been a viable alternative?
BTW, it's spelled "Khrushchev."

jfk had spent 14 years in congress by then, and of course spring and summer 1943 in the solomons. his 43 was far more experienced than o'mans' 47.
to paraphrase bentsen- obama, you're no jack kennedy. |
Glad you brought that up. It's not the years you put in -- it's what you put in the years.
Dan Quayle(R) considered himself equal with Kennedy regarding political experience when Lloyd Bentsen(D) dealt him this blow:

Kennedy inspired an entire generation. I think we could use some of that again. Which (presumed) candidate do you think could provide that inspiration?
Hmmm...I wonder.

the meeting with Nakita was a disaster because Kennedy got taken to the cleaners. historians believe nakita badly misread jfk's resolve and though the soviets could place nukes in cuba without consequence. hence, the crisis.

Is that proof or merely your opinion?
Wikipedia (Cliff Notes for Historians) says this:
"The perception was that Kennedy had won the contest between the superpowers and Khrushchev had been humiliated. However this is not entirely the case as both Kennedy and Khrushchev took every step to avoid full out conflict despite the pressures of people in their governments. Khrushchev would hold on to power for another two years.[28]"
Sounds like it took some diplomacy to avoid the crisis.
Read the rest of the the Cliff notes here:

BTW: it's spelled "Nikita."
