Subject: some pics of my shell

Hello fellow 02ers! It has been a while since I posted anything about my project (or spent much time on the board). The 'old timers' will remember the car. It is still in progress at my slow pace and still moving towards completion. Current work is focused on finishing off the wheel wells, underside, interior and trunk. The trunk and wheel wells are in SKS now. Hope to go work on the underside this Saturday. Here are some pics I took this past weekend. The shell still puts a big ol' smile on my face when I see it.

Welcome back David - make everyone smile with
those CHEEKS . Do you have wheels picked out
for when it hits the ground running ?
What are your plans for suspension and power plant?

C.D.

Hi Creighton,
Not sure on the wheels. What I had bought were pre-flares and are now inappropriate (anyone want some of the wheels from Steve K's group buy a few year ago????) There is nice suspension in the works, leda dampers and other goodies. The motor will be the m10 the car had when I bought it. Slightly worked tii motor, sans injection bits. EFI is a something I enjoy tinkering with so I bought an EFI controller for it.

I see you are sans 02!!! The plush MB diesel won you over?

Thanks for the kind words.

Too funny, I was just going over some of your cage pics a few nights ago to get ideas. Glad to see the e30 isn't getting all the attention!!

thanks guys. Not sure what is up with the image. My site server seems to be very unreliable. CMatt, not sure if I can help out on the cage but I'd love to see what you have in mind. I kept mine completely in the passenger compartment which makes it a little simpler and rigid (the cage at least).

Matt McGinn has played and continues to play a key role in the cars development. This gallery shows some work that was done to create the flares and front fenders.

PS - SCR - nice to see a web site redesign. Looking good. Well worth the time to browse their galleries if you have not done so before.
