Subject: Clutch MC/Slave replacement done........job from hell

Please tell me replacing the clutch slave is the hardest job to do on a 2002. What a totally wretched experience from start to finish.

Notes:
1.Home Depot sells circlips that are damn near the same size as BMW slave clips.
2. Don't bent a hard metal hydraulic line with both threaded fittins slid to one end.
3. Where is that orientation ring for the slave? Car didn't have one and there is no notch in the bell housing for it anyway.
4. Spending so much time under the car allowed me t look at all the rust under the car (east coast car), kind of makes you wonder why you are working on a real nice parts car.
5. In comparison my Fiat 128 hot rod is like playing with Legos.

Carl....are we allowed to vent on this forum?

the orientation notch is part of the trans clutch housing dust shield
