Subject: "Anti-repeat" is now anti-start

I have searched, but haven't found what I need to do to disable the anti-repeat function in the ignition switch. Can anyone shed some light on the procedure.

Basically what is going is the key turns to farht just fine. It won't turn to start. When I remove the key there is a very audible click. The problem has gotten progressively worse over the last few months until the other day when it just stopped going to start at all.

Thanks in advance for the help.

column on how to dismantle and repair the starter switch (and remove the anti-repeat piece if you wish). I'll bet the little piece broke and is jamming the lock cylinder, just like it did on mine.

cheers
