All I can say is Hubba Hubba!
Can't think of any car better than this for low 40k. Kick ass raw power. No boost gauge :( but it has all of the creature comforts you would want but more importantly great power and handling. Very minimal turbo lag. Worthy of the BMW badge for sure.
If ya got the means I highly recommend you go out and buy one. Or, at least go test drive one. Well worth it.

Do you mean the 335xi?
They're nice, but I'm not much on new BMW's. Everyone knowlegeable I talk to tells me they're just full of problems. And the new styling sucks.
Honestly, I'd rather have an Evo X MR. About the same power-wise, but the mitsu is lighter. The interior of the new Evo is a far cry from the boy racer plastic interior of the older ones, although the BMW probably wins this one. Everyone has been raving about the 6 speed SST transmission, and I'd venture a guess that it's much quicker around the track with the S-AWC system (It's not much slower than the new Skyline). Oh, and it's about $2-4000 cheaper (depending if you compare it to the sedan or the coupe). _________________ -Brian L.
