Do you have an automatic or a manual, or a 5 speed convert? The short one looks like the OE one for the manual transmission cars. I believe the auto and the 5 speed converts need a longer speedo cable.

Manual p/n = 62121350977

Automatic p/n = 62121351720

Did you send blunt an e-mail? You should. Blunt is a stand up guy - he'll make it right.

PS - the big piece with the gear is a separate piece that doesn't come with a cable. And, when (if) you install the one blunt sent you, the black plastic thing on the end comes off.

did you ever contact the original seller to see what you actually have there? i sent you an automatic speedo cable which is what a 5 speed conversion calls for. i was waiting for you to send me pictures and hear back from the dude you bought your car from but you never responded back

I use an auto cable with my 5 speed. It fits fine.

Perhaps you may need to re-route it.

hey blunt,

i just called the guy. he didnt pick up so im waiting for a response. as for the cable length, will i need a extension or something? i just cant see it reaching thru the fire wall and under to the tranny. but maybe im just not confident enough.

Grab the "big" piece. Hold tight. Pull on the "small" piece (right where the nub of your old speedo cable is). you might need a pair of needle nose pliers.

If you pull the black protective cap off of the line that Blunt sent you, you'll see how they fit together.

Good Luck.
