Thanks for posting the pictures! Is it strange that the coolest thing to me in all of those pics, is the quilted fender cover?

Yeah Daniel, those are great shots.

Tom, that is a Top End Performance brace, I got it at least 5 years back.

Mcmil, you me and about two others all know that YOU had the rarest BMW at the show. How many Turbos were there? How many Tourings were there? And how many 2000ti's?

enjoyed the pics, Daniel. Wished I could have been there. Does Jan still own the Alpina Touring? If not, who does?

Norm, as far as I know I was the only ti present. Mcmils car was very cool and so was yours obviously. I look forward to 02'ing some more. It was great to meet you.

It is a real ti, S/N 1435350, built in 1967.

I think we can safely say that there were 2 ti's present, a 2002 ti and a 2000ti, both rare birds these days.

Now, technically, every tii is a ti, and the 2000 tilux is a ti as well, but we can let that slide.

PS: I was thrilled to see a 2002ti in the flesh!

... Darren Young of ArtSpeed Racing in Los Angeles. Or at least it was a few years ago when I got mine. It's sold by several vendors. It has some good features:

- Clears the intake plenum on a tii
- Has rigid rather than pinned end connections
- Relatively straight for strength
- Rectangular tube for strength
- Bar is easily removed for service access
- Very nicely made and finished

Thanks for the honorable mention, the 2002ti is authentic with a CR5sp, QR steering box, LSD and Competition Scheel buckets, I added the seats (which took 4years or so to find!) I am fairly certain all the goodies were faqtory installed? I was hoping to catch up with Dubois and talk to him about a contact in Panama. I continue to attempt to track down the first owner but, the day got away quickly.
I was seriously impressed with the quality of cars that showed up, especially the gunmetal M2, DAMN!!! that was evil.
I am looking forward to the next event, even if it is just a drive in the Gold Country.
Best Regards, "Z"

Just doing some browsing. Are they many cars for sale at these events? Any others scheduled in the NW this summer?

Thanks
