Shock tower repair

Shock tower repair
I was just curious as to what thickness of metal I should try and use to repair my shock towers. I havn't cut in to them yet, so I"m not entirely sure what it's made of. Anyone?

Front or back?
Neither are very thick, but there are reinforcement sections that
are quite a bit thicker.
16 ga. for the sheet metal, 14 (or 12) for the bracketry is always safe...
