Help please- I'm this close to hooking this up with a 40 DCOE but can't picture the coolant bypass. 32-36 on there now with three hoses. Do I fabricate a "Y"? Thank you- Michael '70'02

What you want to end up with is a tube that runs from the back of the water pump along side the block to where the heater hose on the drivers side can hook into it, your third hose is most likely coming out of the block just above the starter, this was for the water choke and you can just plug it off.

thanks for a great pic. There is a hose coming out of the top of the 32-36 manifold that goes forward to the "branch stub"? What happens there? can I just lose this thing? Thanks again- Michael

Change the water neck to the 320 model. It is without the rear facing outlet to the top of the 32/36 intake. Before you mount the intake and carb, rotate your brake booster so the vacuum line is pointing down. Unbolt the MC, unbolt the booster, Pull the pin by the reverse light switch and spin the booster 180. Now your vac line will be easier. Careful not to drop the damned pin or snap clip. I'm heading to the garage to fish mine out now. I'm in the middle of this right now too.
