"I'm the original owner of this car. Taken off the street in '83 when the new smog rules came in. Has been an Auto-X car and then a Track Car, and for the last ten plus years it's been sitting in my garage. Bright red and never bent. It has a bolt in roll cage, Alpina flares, Getrag five speed close ratio gear box, Alpina short stroke steering box, brake bias adjustment (in car), Sparco racing seats and comp. belts, three sets of wheels and tires...15 x 7 Alpina (on car), 13 x 7 Campignola (Dino Style and very light as raced by Schnitzer in the early 70's), and a set of 15 x 7 rear and 14 x 7 front BBS, 45 mm Webber side draft carbs, Schrick 316 cam, Venolia 10.5:1 pistons, Carillo Rods, oil cooler, ATL fuel cell and 5 gal stainless aux. cell not in car...for enduros, Stacy Suspension Systems did the suspension (did a 1:54 at Sears Point). Engine has not been run and will need a complete flushing of the cell and fuel lines, and because of the time it has been sitting the engine should be gone through...two years ago the compression was perfect. Front to rear and corner balance weights are as close to identical as possible. The rear end ratio is 4:11 to one. I will e-mail pictures. Can't bring it this weekend because we are packing to leave on Monday. Offered at $15K.

Car back in the 90's. I believe I saved the article. I am nearly certain it is the same car. I recall the car being very well done (Haven't seen it for myself). I would suggest that that is a pretty screaming price for that car given the conglomoration of rare parts listed.

Say it ain't so!!! I can't believe he's letting it go!! BUT BOY DO I WISH I HAD THE MONEY RIGHT NOW!!!

I think the first time I saw that car was in those early 80's. I was 8 in early '83 and you can only imagine the impression that car made on me then! Just look at what I do for a living now!!!

That car and Darrel Lunge's 1800TI were two of the most influential cars in my youth!!

There's one of the reasons right there that my Granada '67 1600-2 is so close to me and might one day have Alpina flares like Bruce's.

I may have some pictures that my dad took of the car autoX'ing back in the day. If I do they'd be on my home computer and I'll post em' tonight.

AND YES, it is the car that was in European car in the 90's.
