I hear these are pretty good.
I'm not a cigar smoker, but couldn't pass these up.
Yes, they are black market.

if you are in Toronto, why are they black market?

btw, i have never seen a Cuban cigar seal on a cardboard box. The seal is usually gets applied directly to the wooden box.

please look through this http://www.cigarnexus.com/counsel/counterfeit/index.html

If these are real, they will be very good. Cohiba Robusto and Siglo VI are two of my favorite cigars

good luck,
steve k.

i would still be very careful about buying cigars. I friend of mine brougha couple boxes that were obviously fake.

But, grab a seat by the beach, pour yourself some Cognac, and light one up!

you'll be relaxed in no time ;)

Steve thanks for your concern and you are right there are lots of crappy fakes available on the streets in Cuba as well as here in Canada.

These were given to me as a gift, from a very good friend who I bring motorcycle parts for as they are not available in Cuba.
These Maduros have a 5 year aged cover leaf, which is why they do not have the normal colour consistency of regular cigars.
There are often special editions issued and I have noticed that sometimes the labels are indeed on the cardboard box, not the cigar box itself.
As I said these would be wasted on me as I am no connesieur or even like cigars that much.. And I don't have a humidor. The box is dated March 20, 2008
If I don't sell them here in the next few days, i would be more than happy to send you a couple, no charge, if you are willing to take the chance of receiving them on your end. They are pretty aromatic, so I would do my best to seal them in a tube or something, so as not to cause suspicion.. Just let me know.

Great to hear!!! Reliable sources are always good :)
I would love to get a couple of those :) Never had a Maduro from Cohiba. I'll keep 'em in my special humidor, until a special occasion :)

Cuban government is working very hard to reduce the number of fake cigars. They ruin the reputation of the real thing. So they changed the seal on the box. The number in red looks a bit different under ultraviolet. Pretty cool stuff.

Thanks,
steve k.

Don't think I'll be making it, but maybe what we should do is get this box of cigars there, (minus the 2 or 3 that I promised to Steve K.), raffle them off and give all the proceeds to the FAQ.
So is there anybody from downtown Toronto going, who could take them to V&V?
Of course, it will be illegal to transport them across the international border.

SO is anyone form the Toronto area going to V at V and willing to smuggle these cigars across the border?
It's all to benefit this website.
Come on someone, live dangerously!
