Subject: other rear seats that fit in a 2002?

I forum searched about this, but couldn't find anything... Are there any other rear seats that fit in a 2002? I recently bought some M3 E30 seats which I have yet to install, and was wondering if there were any I could install to have a similar look.

Also, just a side note, does anyone know if welding patches for a frame rail would be worse that just a full bent sheet? I mean structurally, I can see how it would be worse, but I'm not racing or doing hardcore driving, and I would only ever use it for a place to put a jack...

Thanks, Merek

The BMW E24 6 series rear seat is a popular option. The only non-BMW rear seat I've ever seen installed was from a 2nd generation (I think) Acura Integra...In fact ALL the seats from that particular car are nearly a bolt in deal.

Kia Reo seats look like they would bolt up like the original ones would.
I had one as a rental car last week and I was looking for a map under the seat and while I was under there.......

I've got an integra backseat in my car, fits perfect. Have no clue what year of integra it came from though...
integra seats aren't for a perfectionist though, since they're 60:40 split-fold which has no function in an 02. works good for confusing really observant people though.

Thanks guys, and with those E24 6 series seats (because I meant seats from any other BMWs, although I forgot to say that), do those bolt right in, or take some amount of work?
Thanks again,

Merek

The back seat from a 77-82? 320i/is will fit but you need to cut two of the metal back supports in the upper corners to allow them to bend. The seat is about 3/4" wider than the 02 stock, at the top edge. Once its in (tight!) the effect of the bend is not very noticable. I liked it in my '70, plus it matched the front is recaros...
