Are these the "S" option seats from the 320i? Just curious because I picked up a pair today.

yeah i think they are. I bought restored ones from aardvark racing and they say theirs are from the 320's. Ultra sexy and comfortable. But they throw you off center from the wheel a bit. If you're really tall like i am it makes heel-toeing a bitch/impossible because the wheel is directly above your right leg and which limits your leg movement, thus stopping you from getting your foot into position to heel-toe

I guess I hit the jackpot as I paid only $300 for mine. The driver's seat is excellent and the passenger seat has a ripped bolster. There's also a missing plastic piece here and there. Anyone know where to get the plastic bits?

look at www.bimmer.com (BMW Mobile Tradition), search for 320 seats. Used plastic trim stuff show up on ebay sometimes. People don't realize they can get the new stuff from BMW at good prices and end up paying 4 times more for the used stuff on ebay, go figure.

Desirable? Yes. Rare? Somewhat. $2K? Good luck.

You can get a complete interior in matching leather, front and rear with the E21 Recaros for less than that. No, I am not kidding either.

True-

But for those die-hard purists, a set of original, NOT reupholstered E21 Recaros w/the BMW logos on the side are quite desirable these days. Just depends on how bad someone wants 'em:)

how long will that 25 y/o vinyl last? not long, i predict. since the seats are incorrect anyway, what difference does it make they are original? for that money, redone in leather is probably possible.

sorry, but just keeping it real.

Diehart purists would not put a Recaro in a 2002. That's an oxymoron.

Yea.. I don't know about the whole "rare" thing.
I got an amazing pair of recaro's out of a 320is with a blown engine...
The the car complete with engine whole interier, 5 spd, limited slip diff, and so on for $900. I sold at least $800 dollar worth of stuff off of that car on ebay...
