This was my solution for it.....5mm 1018 steel....simply drill the holes and then use bandsaw to cut out.....then use a simple file to smooth edges.

I also tried to come up with a shifter linkage for the shortened shifter platform......it clears the sides and the knuckles on either end.....I'll put some lock nuts on them and I think I'm done... M5 bolts and washer.

yup that is it....simple. Just make sure yours fits in the tunnel....

A couple tips. first I don't think your shortened linkage piece will work as is. Look at the size (form factor) of the stock one, you can't violate the area around the pins much without limiting the shifter travel. Second, the transmission plate you've made probably will need to have the area around the speedometer cable relieved, with the way you have it I don't think you'll be able to get the cable in without kinking it too much if it goes at all. Look at the design of the 2002 Haus parts and I think you'll see what I mean
