Subject: work from home jobs?

I have a dear friend who is 4months pregnant and found herself so ill (from the pregnancy) that she had to quit her job. She and her husband are now struggling on one income - Are there jobs out there that are truly legit work from home positions?

She has a desk job offer at a finance company once the baby is born and she can return to work but this would be a better overall solution for their family.

Anyone know of any resources? Google just turns up dead end links offering bogus certificate programs. She is a college graduate, can type - telemarketing is probably not the best, or easiest since she has been ill for months and once the baby is born background noise, etc. would be an issue.

Thanks for any help

I don't know the situation with your friend but, I have a Sister that is a Para-Legal secretary that works from home. My partner in the medical field also has Females that transcribe medical records from their home.
Think this one out as there are many fields that would rather you do it from home to save on overhead.

We went to college together and have kept in touch over the last 10 years. Medical Transcription is exactly what she is looking for I believe - We aren't best friends and I don't fully understand the situation. I'm trying as best I can to stay out of friends' personal life/finance issues but I am curious.

Someday Megan and I may be in a similar situation and she may want to work from home.

How do you get into things like medical transcription or other? Coming from a desk job in the financial services industry I have no clue.
