Subject: Stock Springs w/ New Struts?

Are my stock springs shot? I'm upgrading my suspension to some Koni sport adjustable struts and wondered if it would be bad to use the stock springs. I like the ride but I just don't have any rebound dampening and the fronts feel a little sticky. I figure I need some springs from Ireland, H&R, Eibach, etc. What would you all use with Koni Sport Struts? Do springs have a shelf life? My car is a 69 and I'd like to keep some of the stock handling, but have decided to upgrade to some konis and not sure if I'm going to keep my stock springs. Would would give me the best street/canyon carver/autox option w/ the konis?

Assuming Koni sports are equivilant to Bilstein sports, I have H&R's and urathane bushings and the ride is great. H&R's are fine for everyday driving, pretty easy on your spine.
If you want to autox, Ireland makes a stage II spring that is better. Some of the guys on this board (BLUNT) run these and like 'em. they lower the car another inch or so more than the H&R's and are stiffer.
Larger sway bars will help a lot as well, like suspension techniques or Ireland bars.
