There is a plaque on the dash that I can not make out.

The ad says, "not a showwinner." Wow. For 48-frickin-thousand bucks, shouldn't one be reasonably entitled to wipe the q-tip circuit clean?
PS - Jonathan Maxson - this car has "you" written all over it. I know you have a spare $48k laying around. And just imagine how many dirty sneakers you could fit in that hatch.
PPS - Otis is for sale, but only if you "buy him now" for $248k.

This Touring is the one that 02Les in China posted. It used to have the Turbo flares but was converted to have the pigcheeks. I like it better with the Turbo flares.

Thanks for that info Jan. I saved the "earlier look" pics from bimmers.com many years ago and thought the Alpina striping and Turbo flares was just about as good as a Touring could look. _________________ Les

Agreed, it does look odd with pig cheeks. I'd prefer the Turbo flares myself. Although I wonder if anyone has built a Touring with box flares? That may turn out better than the pig cheeks. _________________
