Subject: Car Show in Downtown WASH DC

There is always a good mix of old and newer cars, but it would be great to see a classic BMW at this annual event at the Department of Energy; my '82 E21 isn't up for it...yet. Here's the information:

The Lost Caravan Corvette Club (LCCC), in partnership with the DOE Energy Recreation and Welfare Association (ERWA), is planning our fourth Sport Car Show at DOE Forrestal Building (10th and Independence SW) for Friday, July 20th, 2007 (Rain date Friday, July 27th) from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

As in past years, the show is open to all Federal employees, Federal contractor employees, retired Federal employees, and U.S. military personnel who own and would like to show their sport cars, hot and street rods, antiques, and of course Corvettes!

If you want to join in, please fill in the information below and forward this email to: dan.woomer@lostcorvettes.org:

UPDATE:

The only classic/vintage import here is a beautiful 1973 BRG/Tan Jaguar Series 1 XKE. Of note, there are a few late-model Corvettes, a couple of Lotus Elise, coupla muscle cars (beautiful red Chevelle SS). However, there is a very nice Motorsport Z3 conv with aftermarket 19's holding it down for the marque.

A couple of Corvettes decided to have a "sound-off" while I stood in between them. I must be getting OLD because the "thrill" of really, really loud V-8 engines does not hold the attraction for me that it....NEVER did (LOL).

Cheers!
