you mean the 74
http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,289227/
?

So what is happening. Like one time the images are there and the next time they are not? I tried it and saw them..

Have you noticed it on other posts too? Cos there shouldn't be anything different with your blog deal than any other post -- assuming they are the images that are uploaded to the forum (rather than those linked from another site).

If they are ones linked from your own web site there could be any number of reasons why they'd quit working for a while -- like somebody in Canada cuts a fiber optic cable or general network problems.

hopefully they work now!

Thank you for the reply. Yes, one time they are there, next time not there. No, not seen on other posts, and they are uploaded from my documents to the forum. Could it be blanks in file name; 742002 001, 742002 002? Do I need to change my file names? My photo program inserts the blanks. Thanks for your time.

no the names shouldn't matter. The forum renames the files anyway when you upload them (so there are no duplicate names) and then stores your old name in the database. Then when you call it up, it puts the original name back on.

The next time you see this could you use the 'view source' choice on your browser and copy that source? I'm curious if the images are being sent but just not showing up, or maybe they aren't even trying to show you the images.

There is nothing special about your blog that I can see.. like it should act just like any other forum post. Don't know why only your blog would do that .. if it was a site wide problem it should show up everywhere.

hmm.. well lets keep an eye on it. Maybe we'll figure it out !

BTW: what browser and operating system do you use?

hmm.

Well your source has the pictures as far as I can tell

Have you done a cache clear lately?

You might have some corrupt cache files causing IE to barf a bit.

If you don't know how to do that check out

https://kb.iu.edu/data/ahic.html

I dono if that will solve the issue, but it might!

AH HA! you said the N word

you are using NORTON!!!

I don't know how many times that stupid product has caused people trouble over the years.

Lets see

http://www.theopavlidis.com/technology/norton_bug.htm
http://www.blotdesign.com/writing/web-design-ad-blocking-gotcha

It looks like norton is blocking images with certain height and width based on the fact that it thinks it must be an advert, or for other reasons known only to norton. If you can, try to turn off all advert blocking for teh FAQ and hopefully that will fix things (heck we only have one advert and its for stuff sold here anyway).

Now the worm thing is strange.. i'm pretty sure we're not sending worms out during login!!!

It may be related to these false positives:

http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/attack_sigs/s21510.html
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/attack_sigs/s21510.html

I'll do some more digging, but now that we know you have Norton things are starting to make some sense :)
