..factory option 2002 rims that is.

They are distinctly less glamorous than the e30 bottlecaps, but I like the stock vibe and old-skool look.

The steering feel is markedly lighter, and I think that the higher side-wall absorbs some road vibration or something.

The handlind is distinctly less go-karty, but not mushy. Time will tell If I go back to the bottlecaps.

Funny thing....here you have a Roundie with '74 Mahle Late Factory Alloys, and here I have a '76 with pre '74 FPS Early Factory Alloys (with the Sumitomo HTR 200's (but 205/60/13's).

I like the look of both! :-) Who says you have to be vintage correct eh?

Sweet look in my opinion....keep em!

Yeah, whatever floats your boat!

I wanted to get the "correct" wheels (the ones that you have) but I couldn't find any for less than a grand a set.

I'd really of like to find 2 turbo wheels for the back, and leave the 5's on the front.

what's with the "i" on your rear badge? Did you actually convert your car to injection and put an "i" from an E30 on it afterwards or something?

Forgive me if this has been asked of you before...

I did convert it to EFI, but the "i" is hand carved, not E30. The e30 script is chromed plastic and way too big. The E21 "i" would look good though.

I've had these for 4 or 5 years and have never mounted them. It think it's time (once all the work is done, that is).

I have those on my 02. I wouldn't mind a larger wheel, but those just look so badass I cringe at the thought of replacing them.

American Racing Rims. Can you give me some idea on how to find the caps to cover the wheel bearings.

Check out these American Racing Vector SE wheels, some one snag them quick, Delia points out in the parts section that these are period correct. I'm glad I don't live local, they would probably follow me home.

http://chico.craigslist.org/pts/277551873.html I emailed the owner asking what size tires were on these rims, the reply back was 185/70-13 so I think that these are 6" rims, not 8". Usual disclaimers apply, contact the seller for more info.
