Subject: Best Radiator for M20 Conversion

HI Everyone....

I am doing a M20 Conversion in my 1969 2002 and was wondering what it the best radiator to use with the conversion.

I have read 323i but those are not easy to come up with.

What is everyone else using in there M20 swap??

Thanks

We used a VW Scirocco radiator and Q/R mounts from JEG'S.

Volvo 240 fits, cooled a turbocharged 2.4 liter pulling a 4,000lb brick, so it should be adequate also. ;)

What are you guys using to mount the bottom of the radiator.

I picked up a brand new Behr Scirocco radiator for $45 thru my work. I see two stubs at the bottom. Should I use those or what is the best approach.

If you use the mounts from JEG'S, you just use the 2-holes on each side of the radiator.

here's what i did. i actually had to move them farther apart after this pic tho. cut a 1" length of box steel, drilled a hole straight thru, cut it in half diagonally, and used a large punch to make it concave so i could use the rubber donut spacer thingies too. took < an hour i think.
