Subject: SOLD! My personal '89 325i 4 door for sale...

1989 alpineweis 4 door A/T with approx 135k ORIGINAL miles...no replacement odometer.
First I'll list the new (within the last 2 years & 40K):
timing belt & tensioner, water pump & thermostat, drive belts
all coolant hoses
in tank fuel pump
main relay
idle control valve
fuel pressure regulator
injector wiring subharness (the one with the connector that always corrodes)
coolant temp switch (for DME)
plugs & fuel filter replaced every 15K (twice since I've owned)
K&N stock replacement type air filter
Ansa muffler
front control arms / bushings
front wheel hubs / bearings
rear wheel bearings
engine mounts
tranny mounts
new OE fog lights $$
decent JVC c/d player with crappy stock speakers

The suspension has been upgraded and the car handles fairly well but I've sort of done it "garage sale" style as bits were available from friends or on Ebay:
ST 22mm front swaybar
new Bilstein sport front struts
H&R front springs
Racing Dynamics 18mm rear swaybar
Bilstein sports ( I think - they have the black dust collars) they were like new when I got them
Racing Dynamics rear springs

Used sport seats in mediocre condition, courtesy of Ben Thongsai...the upholstery color is a close match to the originals but not exact. BBS basketweave sport wheels with Continental 195-60-14 tires. Decklid from 325is including urethane factory spoiler.

The A/C works well, I've replaced the blower resistor and installed a used auxillary fan. The car has a manual sunroof which is lubed and works well. All power windows work as does the cruise control. The A/T works fine but shifts a little harshly under heavy throttle. If I had kept the car I was going to do a 5 speed conversion along with 3.73 LSD...I have some of the parts, including the tranny & diff, but they'll cost you extra if you want them. This car is a low trim level model and DOES NOT have the O.B.C. but the cheapie clock / temp display instead (easy to upgrade if you want to later...I was)

Now for the bad:
This car drives great but has been up more curbs than a squad car in the Bronx...that's part of the reason (aside from nprmal wear) why I've changes ALL 4 wheel bearings and both front control arms.
The car has some pretty wicked negative camber, partially from being lowered a good bit but possibly due to abuse (although the structure doesn't appear bent anywhere) I intended to buy some Ireland offset stock replacement type upper front strut mounts. They can be installed in a manner that will actually add .5 degree positive camber. The underbody of this thing hasn't been punctured anywhere but is dinged up pretty badly, including the exhaust system and fuel tank.
The car has been resprayed (pretty decently) but there is a big paint chip missing from the right front fender in front of the wheel opening. A few bubbles are beginning to form on the roof around the plastic sunroof deflector ( I think that's what those things are good for)
The trip odometer quit about 6 months ago. The fuel gauge sender needs to be replaced also...not very expensive
The door lock motor in the left rear door needs to be replaced and the car really could stand to heva a new drivers door lock kit installed (about $225 parts and labor in my shop)

And the price for all of this you ask...$2900 firm... I promise I've got about that in this car in parts alone. It's a great daily driver and gets no less than 25mpg even if you're flogging the hell out of it. Please contact me if you're interested and I can take more / better photos. Thanks for reading.

Subject: The first round of things I forgot...

Like my signature says, the car is located in Arkansas. I also forgot to mention that the car has new tie rods (complete assemblies) both sides. There is a small crease type dent right in the middle of the right rear door. It's not very deep and the paint isn't damaged but it's there and needs to be mentioned. I'll post other things, good or bad, as they come to mind
