The usual disclaimers apply. I don't know this person, and I've never seen this car, but it sounds interesting. If I would have kept my you-know-what in my pants 9 months ago, I'd jump on this...

I am the original owner of an immaculate 1974 BMW Bavaria 3 litre 4
door sedan. The car has 52,000 miles on it and has never seen a speck
of road salt. It has been kept in a garage in Philadelphia since
birth and as of late only driven a few hundred miles a year. I live in
WV and spend less time in Philly, so this wonderful vehicle is going
to waste. It would never make it up my steep, mountain 4 wheel drive
road here on the farm or I would never sell it. The car has been
maintained mechanically by the legendary Saverio Mirachi at Boulevard
Auto. I have all of the service records including the original bill of
sale. I also have two huge BMW Factory Service Manuals. I can be
contacted at 304-497-2208 or by fax at 304-497-3036. Email is barry@sunfarm.com

This car has been on the E3 email list for a few weeks, we do know that it is bronze (Sienna Braun?) 4 speed, and has a sunroof. He didn't reply to my question on how much he wants for it. From description, it won't last long unless he's asking some ridiculous price

It really tells me nothing about the car.

I'm glad to know that he spends a lot of time in West Virginia. It really warms my heart and makes me want to head to the ATM and dump my checking account or go help him shovel his driveway. When I'm scoping or buying a car, I don't care about any of the personal story stuff. Also, I've lived around Philly for 11 years and I have no f*&king idea who this "Flavio the Wunder-Mechanic" is that he references. And, if I do find Flavio, he probably won't know a friggin' thing about this tank. The potential for bullshite and drug-related pricing is very high here. It's either legit and he's too afraid of people or caught up in himself waiting for the one doe-eyed true believer, or this guy is the typical Philly Craig's List crackwhore.

It's the kind of thing where you gotta work the phone, get your auto auction gameface on, and scope this clown out.

Everytime I scope for BMWs on Craig's List, I feel like I have a bit part in "Snatch" or "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels."

Cheers,

Turkish
