Subject: Where can I find a drive gear for my speedo?

Hey folks...you have been mighty helpful so far with my electrical quandries...now I need to find one of those little green drive gears for the speedo head for my '76.
Any suggestions?

new speedo's ARE AVAILABLE from
BMW if you just want to replace it and
motor on with accurate readings.

otherwise find a junk gauge and
pick out the bits and fiddle-pfhart
to yer hearts content

Subject: Try Bavarian Auto Service--they have 'em for E30s and

may also have 'em for '02s. You might also try a speedo repair shop.

If you find your gear has split and spins on its shaft, folks have successfully super glued the gear back together and to its shaft...worth a try as super glue is cheap!

They should have what you want, but you'll probably have to call 'em because their web site doesn't have specific applications. 800-466-2880.
