Hey guys,
My 2002 has the classic door break pop thats so common in my car. Well the other day it did the pop but really loudly. Now it has no slow down in stopping the door from swinging open however it will not allow the door to go past the point where it would wrinkle the fender... So any way's to salvage this door brake or am I lost trying to come up with another solution or modding other door brakes? _________________ If more power is better then way too much is just enough.

there's a u-shaped, steel spring, i'll call it...a 1/8 X 3/4, approx inch wide, piece of steel in there, at the end of the stop that you can see....it's got a really sharp bend in it that pushes back on the door...or slows the close.....it's really common for those to break at the bend or the stress point....
take your door panel off, feel around the bottom of the door and you'll probably find a 6 inch + oe - piece of steel...
