Sorry its not BMW, but was bought at a big BMW dealer in Kansas City. My dad picked up an 03 Mustang Cobra off ebay, Great price 23,650, with 22k on the odo. I helped him drive it to Cali.

I am not a big Ford fan, but that car is nice. Supercharged 390 hp, tq out of 281 c.i. First impression were not all that great clunky trans (6 speed out of the viper) and a little rough around town, but at speed it smooths out and cruises. Very stable, handled well for what we were able to try, and ass grabby seats. And a sweet torque curve, it pulls hard in every gear, right up to its governed speed limit which it would surpass easily if it didn't have it by at least 15 mph. My dad has a gps in his computer so we checked and it reads pretty darn acurate.

All I can say it must be the best bang for the buck sports car. It really is a heck of a lot of fun to drive. I am excited for my dad, he is having a lot of fun with it so Merry Christmas to him. I just had to share it, and now I miss the car. Once used to the clutch and trans it is great.

I like my 02 but all around I am a car guy first. Any car that is fun gets my attention.

Merry Christmas guys,

Shane

(still excited about the speed run) Now I have to get back to california. (Why can't dads do this stuff when sons still live in the house?)

I was part of the stang crowd before the 02s and I must say the 03 cobra's were a blast for the money. Although they sat on a aged fox platform- a few chassis tweaks and you'd have a helluva package. They had some issues on the initial release- alignment particularly. But the iron block added quite a bit of weight. But close to 400hp, and a quick swap of the pulley can bring out a few more ponies. Fun car!

I learned about them when I could not shake one off while in the M5, good thing I was able to get out his way he might have pushed me off the freeway :)
