By BMW, the 764 is what you'd get either way. You should be fine.

From gasket paper that is significantly thicker than the ones stuck to the block. Works fine, worth a try as a roll of gasket paper is cheap.

I priced the 2 - 20in lines along the rear control arms from the flex line to the wheel cyl at about $ 20 ea from the dealer 2 weeks ago. Managed to make a couple of Pep boys ones work.

The tip of the rotor should be aligned with the small notch in the rim of the distributor housing. That'll be close enough to get it started.
